During BET Weekend while planning "Queen for a Day" L.A, Samantha Granberry of Healthy Housing Foundation/AHF asked if we could also do something for our teens. It was our pleasure to assist with teen makeovers for teens overcoming the odds. We were also able to surprise them with tickets to the BET awards! Our Executive Director, Michele White-Williams briefed the team, contacted her trusty L.A. connects Deana Reed of My Friend's House L.A.and activated. It was so heart-warming to be able to serve our youth, to help build self-esteem, combat bullying and to shine a little light on their lives! EVERYONE deserves to feel special!!
